Skating In Santa Monica

It may not snow in SoCal, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy some winter fun. If you want to bring back some old childhood memories of ice skating on a frozen pond, then head to downtown Santa Monica to relieve that past. Spend the upcoming weeks with the family, skating the night away. This is a great place to spend a date with that special someone as you get up-close and personal. If you feel a need to warm up after hours of fun, then pop over to the Starbucks next door, who also sponsors this event. The skating rink is located less than two blocks from the Third Street Promenade.The rink is open daily and will be open till Jan 8, 2008.

Admission is just $10 including skate rental.

Well tomorrow is turkey day. You can go out and party and not have to worry about work tomorrow. But you do have to worry about your crazy family. All I can say is drama and hangovers don’t mix. Well it’s that time again. No I don’t mean Thanksgiving or Christmas, but it’s Felt Club . This twice-yearly indie craft fair featuring the best and brightest of the SoCal craft scene. You can find a wide variety of handmade goods, including handbags and jewelry, baby gifts and paper products, clothing and housewares, one-of-a-kind plushies and original artwork . Over 75+ artists, crafters, and designers from SoCal and beyond will show off their latest and greatest D.I.Y. wares for your handmade-shopping pleasure! Visitors can also enjoy fresh and delicious eats and drinks from renowned Eagle Rock eatery Auntie Em’s Kitchen while enjoying happy shopping music from our DJs, Dirty Robot and Lance Rock. Free craft classes will be offered throughout the day. The event is happening outdoors on the quad at Los Angeles City College, 855 N. Vermont Ave. (between Santa Monica and Melrose).
